On Wednesday Mrs Ingrey lead whole school assembly celebrating Worlds Poetry Day. The lead into this was music of the week by Stormzy.

I Before Mrs Ingrey began I highlighted to the children that 1st October also marks the beginning of Black History month, so it was apt that we feature a well-known black artist whose craft is underpinned by an excellent knowledge of how poetry works in order to construct the lyrics for his hugely successful genre.

Mrs Ingrey shared with the children a wonderful array of poetry and who poetry inspires us all. It was a very a wonderfully led assembly by Mrs Ingrey and a terrific experience for the children.
