Learn To Play A Musical Instrument

At present, all Year 3 children learn to play the recorder. In addition, children have the opportunity to learn a range of instruments, taught by visiting peripatetic music teachers, affiliated to Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT). We currently offer lessons in piano, violin, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, Eb horn and guitar. Children can have either an individual or shared lesson. Instruments may be hired from BYMT for an additional fee.

Application forms for lessons can be obtained from the school office or printed out from the link below. Completed forms will be passed on to the appropriate peripatetic teacher who will then contact you. Please note the contract will between you, the teacher and BYMT. Please make sure you read the terms and conditions on the application form.

For further details please contact Bromley Youth Music Trust on 020 8467 1566 or via the website www.bymt.co.uk. Children are given the opportunity to showcase their talents in school assemblies, at the Spring Concert or play as part of the school band.
