On the last Friday of the term, Raglan hosted our annual sports day event. It was a fantastic day filled with fun, sporting accomplishments and many fantastic memories, along with some superb team and individual sports performances.
As the leader for PE and sport, it made me so happy to see so many children fully engaging and joining in with the activities. But arguably even more wonderful was the support and sportsmanship on display, with children cheering on not just their team but revelling in the class success as well. All in, it was wonderful day across the morning with KS1, Reception and Sharks and the afternoon for the KS2 and Frogs children.
A massive thank you to Mrs Prescott for assisting in getting the planning for this event, to all the staff who assisted on the day, to the sports leaders who supported and motivated the children throughout their activities and to you all, parents and carers, for walking the children to the park and supporting them in such a positive manner.
The results from the sports day are being revealed to the children today (Friday) and it was an incredibly tight affair, with just 26 points separating the 4 houses.
The results were as follows:
- Attenborough (386)
- Asher Smith (367)
- Yousafzai (363)
- Luther King (360)
Once again, an enormous thank you to you all for a wonderful day of sport and I am already looking forward to the event next year
