Last Friday we held the third iteration of the whole school cross country. This year we were blessed with very lovely weather; nice, dry conditions for excellent running – not too warm.
First up in the morning the key stage one children from years one and two took part and showed brilliant resilience with their running of the half lap of the park. In the afternoon, we welcomed the key stage two children for a full lap of the park and again they showed fantastic efforts and teamwork cheering each other from start to finish.
This was a terrific school community event enjoyed by staff, parents and carers, and most of all the children. I would like to thank all of the staff for helping to facilitate the event, as well as the parents and carers that helped walk the children to and from the event. In addition to this thank you to our Ravensbourne PE Student helpers. The partnership we have building with Ravensbourne is excellent and we really appreciate their help.
A huge thanks to Mrs Boorman (mother of Mr Boorman) and Mrs Jones (past parent) who collated the scoring on the day (indeed a stressful job!)
Finally, a massive congratulations and thank you to Mr Boorman for organising another wonderfully successful sporting event and opportunity for the children.
The results are as follows:
- 1st Blue House 100 House Points
- 2nd Green House 75 House Points
- 3rd Red House 50 House Points
- 4th Yellow 25 House Points
