What a triumph for the FOR and our School Community the Christmas Fair was last Saturday. The effort, months of planning, and execution on the day from the FOR Team was truly outstanding.
I was thinking across the day how best to capture the right sentiment to best describe the Fair and I kept coming back to what I say often to people that ask me what it means to be at Raglan: ‘Children and Community.’
I arrived home after the Fair really inspired and humbled; having Mrs D ask me “how was it?” I replied with total sincerity, “That was the absolute best community day I have ever experienced in my nearly 20 years of being a Head Teacher. It was simply that wonderful!”
I would like to send the most enormous thank you to the whole FOR Team, the parent volunteers that helped on the day on all the stalls, our local business that ran their own stalls, and the children helpers who were on another level again! I would also like to thank all parents and carers who came along and supported the day. The volume of families attending was terrific and this despite the poor weather. There was no dampening on the day at all from the rain! A huge shout-out for the BBQ Dads, FOR Team, parent / staff and children helpers who were working outside in the inclement weather. You are all truly immense!
I often say that every day at Raglan is a great day, and some are even better than that! Well, Saturday’s FOR Christmas Fair was one of those even ‘greater days.’
I’m very happy to announce the winner of the class game with the highest number of Raglets collected (208) – is Wolves! As a result they will receive their extra break time, day and time to be confirmed with Mrs Duller.
