Celebrating Being Neuro-diverse!

Today Mark Phillips returned to us to lead assembly and discussed with the children what it is like for him being neuro-diverse.

As you know Mark had a really successful professional football career – especially with Millwall. I have known Mark for many years and he has always been an inspirational for the children that he has worked with. We are delighted to still host his 6Soccer Holiday Provision here.

Mark shared with the children his journey in being assessed and diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. Mark celebrated what he considers his superpowers (his ADHD and Autism) with the children and explained that these are not barriers to life at all – and that you can still succeed and do all that you wish to.

Mark has started his own foundation and charity for young people that are neuro-diverse also – which has seen him appear on Sky Sports and speaking on the radio. It was inspirational listening to him again, and I am sure his story resonated with all of the children and staff that were in assembly today.

A massive thank you to Mark for sharing your neuro-diverse journey with us all.
